Germantown Covid-19 Update: September 30, 2020

The Town Hall, including all offices, are open.  Please refer to the office hours posted on our website as there have been some changes.  Visitors will be logged in and screened for COVID-19 in accordance with the NYS mandated Safety Plan which we have developed.  Please make sure you wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The Germantown Justice Court is open by appointment only.  Please contact the Court Clerk, regarding scheduling. Regular court hours are Wednesday evenings, from 5pm – 8pm.

The Dog Park has reopened.  Please use the sanitizer at the park, wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

The Town Playground in Palatine Park has reopened.  Please use the sanitizer at the park, wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

The annual Halloween Parade down Main St. to the school is canceled this year. We look forward to safely celebrating together again next year.

The Kellner Community Activity Building and the Parsonage will remain closed until further notice.

As we reopen in phases under the Governor’s plan we will continue to provide updates as quickly as possible.

Please practice social distancing if you do go outside. And please wear a mask if you will be in proximity to others.

There will be a Columbia County Flu Clinic at the Activity Building Parking lot on October 8, 2020, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. You must pre-register HERE. If you do not have access to the internet you can call the drive-thru Influenza clinic registration message line at 518-828-3358 extension 1310. Leave your name and phone number and a staff member will contact you to complete the registration.

The Town Board will meet remotely on October 13, 2020 using Zoom audio/video technology. The information about how the public can participate will be posted by October 13, 2020.

The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals will meet remotely in October as necessary. Similarly, GEDAC, LWRP committee and WAC will also meet remotely. The boards and committees will use Zoom audio/video technology. Please check the calendar and “News” on our website for more details about upcoming meetings, agendas and information about how the public can participate.

We will reassess the situation by October 15, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation and work with our partners at Columbia County to do what is best for Germantown.
