Public meeting set for: January 4, 2020 10:30 – 12pm
Location: Kellner Activity Building, Germantown, NY
Scenic Hudson has hired a consultant team to create a plan to recommend public access locations along the eastern shore of the Hudson River between Poughkeepsie and Rensselaer.
The plan is designed to identify opportunities and challenges related to the wide range of places that people enjoy the river for water-related recreation—walking, boating, fishing, hunting, birding, iceboating, and more.
The plan will describe where and how people currently use the shoreline, identify gaps in public access, and recommend places for new safe shoreline access and ways to improve safety at existing locations. The consultant team needs your input about where and how you use the river and, more importantly, where and how you’d like to use the river in the future.
